  1. Water 3 Cups
  2. Potatoes cubes ½ kg
  3. Salt ½ Tsp

Imli Chutney or Sour Liquid Ingredients

  1. Water ½ Cup
  2. Tamarind pulp ½ Cup
  3. Salt ¼ tsp or to taste
  4. Red chili crushed ½ tsp
  5. Cinnamon stick 1
  6. Ginger powder ½ tsp
  7. Sugar 1 tbsp
  8. Corn flour 1 tsp
  9. Water 3 tbsp
  10. Red chili roasted & crushed 1 tsp
  11. Cumin seeds roasted & crushed 1 tsp
  12. Black salt ½ tsp
  13. Red chili crushed ½ tsp
  14. Red Onion chopped 1 large
  15. Green chilies chopped 2 to 3
  16. Lemon juice 3 tbsp

Assembling Ingredients

  1. Yogurt whisked as required
  2. Sour Liquid
  3. Special spice mix
  4. Sev
  5. Papri
  6. Chaat masala
  7. Chopped Green Chili

Directions for Potatoes

  1. Take a pot, add water and start boiling, add potatoes, salt and mix well and boil until the potatoes become normal soft.

Directions For Sour Liquid

  1. Take a saucepan, add water, tamarind the pulp and mix them well.
  2. Now, add salt, red chili crushed, cinnamon stick, ginger powder, and mix them well.
  3. Now, Add sugar and mix well in sour liquid.
  4. Now, Dissolve the corn flour in water, mix them well and add it in a pot & mix them continuously, and cook for them for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Remove the tamarind seeds and cinnamon stick & set aside for while.
  6. Now, take a bowl, add red chili crushed, cumin seeds, black salt and mix them well well.
  7. Now your special spice mix is ready for the chaat recipe.
  8. Now, In boiled potatoes, add salt, red chili crushed, onion, green chilies, lemon juice and mix them well.


  1. Now, take a serving bowl, and add potatoes, yogurt, imli chutney, special spice mix, sev, papri, yogurt, chaat masala, green chili and serve.
