Baked Mushrooms and Capsicum Recipe

This delicious Baked Mushrooms and Capsicum snack is a toss up of mushrooms and capsicums sprinkled together which a rich and creamy cheese sauce. Perfect for a tea party and a favorite to all!

Ingredients for Baked Mushrooms and Capsicum:

  • Oven Temp: 325F-160C
  • Butter 2 Tbsp
  • onions, chopped fine 1 Cup
  • Large Capsicum 1 Pc
  • Mushroom 200 Gm
  • Salt 2 Tsp
  • Black pepper, freshly powdered 1 Tsp
  • Cheese 3 Cups
  • A few tomato slices for garnish
  • A few mint leaves for garnish

Ingredients For the white sauce:

  • Milk 2 Cups
  • Maida 1 Cup
  • Butter 2 Tbsp

 Directions for White Sauce:

  • Mix all the ingredients together and keep stirring to avoid lumps

Directions Baked Mushrooms and Capsicum:

  1. Melt the butter and stir fry the onions and capsicum in it until they look glossy
  2. Add the mushrooms and keep on stir frying on high flame until the vegetables look coated in butter
  3. Take the pan of the stove and sprinkle salt, pepper and white sauce on the contents
  4. Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof serving dish
  5. Drizzle the mixture with cheese to cover it and garnish with tomato slices
  6. Bake in a preheated oven for about half an hour or until the cheese is slightly brown
  7. Take the dish out and transfer into the serving dish
  8. Garnish with some mint leaves on the top
  9. Baked mushrooms and capsicums are ready to be enjoyed along with the white creamy sauce
