Cake Rusk Recipe

Everyone likes to dip their crunchy rusks in tea for breakfast. Try this quick and easy homemade cake rusk recipe and you will never visit the bakery for some commercial rusks ever again!

Cake Rusk Recipe With Ingredients and Directions:

  • Makhan (Butter) unsalted 100 Gms
  • Cheeni (Sugar) powdered 1 Cup
  • Anday (Eggs) 3 Pcs
  • Maida (All-purpose flour) 1 Cup
  • Baking powder 1 Tsp
  • Vanilla essence ¼ Tsp
  • Yellow food color ¼ Tsp (optional)


  1. Take a bowl and whisk the sugar and butter together unless they seen fluffy
  2. Add the eggs one by one and continue to whisk
  3. Place the sifter above the bowl and add the flour along with baking powder, sift them together and keep on whisking
  4. Now add the vanilla essence and yellow food colour and mix well
  5. Grease the sides of baking tray ( 7×7 inch) and place the butter paper on it
  6. Pour the batter on the baking pan and tap it two to three times
  7. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degree C for about 30 minutes
  8. Take it out and allow it to cool for about 20 minutes before cutting into slices or shapes as you wish
  9. Bake it again after slicing for about 20 minutes more at 180 degree C
  10. Then take the tray out and flip the sides to bake from the other side for the same time period
  11. Now allow them to cool completely
  12. Once they are cool, they will turn crispy and crunchy, ready to be enjoyed
  13. Store in a dry airtight container
