Cheese and Lamb Steaks Recipe

  • Basil Leaves 2 Tbsp
  • Bay Leaf 1 Pc
  • Sprigs of Fresh Thyme 2 Pcs
  • Olive Oil 4 Tbsp
  • Large Onion 1 Pc
  • Tomatoes(peeled and seeded), chopped 1 Kg
  • Garlic, finely chopped 3 Tsp
  • Lamb Steaks 4 Pcs
  • Flour (seasoned) 2 Tbsp
  • Eggs(beaten) 2 Pcs
  • Fresh breadcrumbs 150 Gm
  • Cheese, grated 25 Gm
  • Parsley, finely chopped 1 Tbsp
  • Oil 100 Ml
  • Butter 50 Grams
  • Mozzarella Cheese-sliced 250 Gram


  • Heat the oil and fry the onions until they are tender
  • Then add tomatoes, garlic, bay leaf and thyme, season and simmer
  • Coat the lamb in flour and toss it into the beaten egg
  • Combine the crumbs, cheese and parsley
  • Press the meat and fry it in heated oil with butter
  • Fry the meat until it’s tender while turning once
  • Arrange the chops into an ovenproof dish while covering it with mozzarella cheese
  • Bake it at 200 degrees C for 7-10 minutes
  • Serve hot along with the tomato sauce whilst garnished with some basil leaves
