Chicken Behari Kebab Recipe

  • Thinly sliced chicken or beef 1 Kg
  • Dahi/ yogurt 1 Cup
  • Onion (chopped) 1 Pc
  • Brown Onion (ground) 1 Pc
  • Salt as desired
  • Roasted Khaskas (ground) 1 Tbsp
  • Roasted Zeera/ cumin seeds 1 Tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste ½ Tbsp
  • Pepper/pipli/pepper long spice ¼ Tsp
  • Lal Mirch/red chili powder ½ Tbsp
  • Garam Masala ½ Tsp
  • Mustard Oil/vegetable oil ½ Cup
  • Kababchini/cubeb spice ¼ Tsp
  • Raw Papaya paste 2 Tbsp

Directions for Behari Kebabs

  1. Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients
  2. Add the meat to the ingredient mixture and leave it for marination for about two hours
  3. Either cook the kebabs or BBQ them, it’s totally up to you
  4. The mustard oil gives a unique flavor to the kebabs but you can also use the vegetable oil if mustard oil isn’t available
  5. Serve the kebabs hot alongside desired chutneys and naan
