Chicken Oats Haleem Recipe

Chicken Oats Haleem Recipe with Ingredients & Directions:

  • Chicken with bones or breast piece less than ½ Kg or 2 Breasts
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 Tbsp
  • Oil 3-4 Tbsp
  • Oats 1 Cup
  • Coriander seeds 2 Tbsp
  • Dried chilies 2-3 Pcs
  • Cardamom ½ Tbsp
  • Cloves 2
  • Cinnamon stick 1 piece
  • Cumin seeds 1 Tsp
  • Coriander leaves and green chilies as needed
  • Chat Masala as needed
  • Onion medium, sliced 1 Pc
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1 Tsp


  1. Wash and Boil the chicken in 5 cups of water
  2. When the chicken becomes tender, remove it from the stock
  3. Now add the oats in the same stock and cook until they become tender
  4. Shred the removed chicken and add it in oats as well and set it aside
  5. Meanwhile, take a pot and fry the onion until they are golden brown
  6. Then add the ginger garlic paste to the onions and fry them for a few seconds
  7. Dry roast the cinnamon sticks, cardamom, red whole chilies, coriander seeds, cloves and cumin
  8. Grind the roasted whole spices and use them in the haleem according to your necessity and store the remaining in an airtight jar
  9. Put all spices in hot oil and fry for a few minutes
  10. Add the chicken oats mixture to it and stir well
  11. You can also add water to acquire the desired consistency
  12. Cook until the mixture gets unified
  13. Garnish the haleem with green chilies and coriander leaves
  14. Serve hot and enjoy
