Chicken Pocket Buns Recipe

Ingredients For Marination:

  • Chicken boneless 1 Lbs
  • Black pepper ½ Tsp
  • White pepper ¼ Tsp
  • Red chili flakes ¼ Tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Vinegar 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients For Filling:

  • Buns 3 Pcs
  • Carrot small, chopped 1 Pc
  • Capsicum small, chopped 1 Pc
  • Iceberg lettuce 1 Leaf
  • Corns 2 Tbsp
  • Spring onion 2 Leaves
  • Onion some rings
  • Cheese slices 3 Pcs
  • Oregano a pinch
  • Ketchup 3-5 Tbsp
  • Garlic powder to sprinkle


  1. Take soft buns and cut them into two halves
  2. Create a pocket in one half very carefully using a knife
  3. Fry the marinated chicken in 1 tbsp of oil and keep frying until it gets tender
  4. Cool the chicken down and shred it
  5. Chop all the vegetables and saute them in 1 tbsp of oil for few seconds
  6. Now mix the chicken in the veggies and let it simmer for a while
  7. Add the pepper, salt, and spices at this stage according to your taste and requirement
  8. You can also add various sauces and
  9. Stuff the buns with the filling and join them together
  10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
  11. Place the buns on a baking tray and sprinkle shreds of cheese on the top
  12. You can also place a single cheese layer on top instead of sprinkling it
  13. Also, place some onion rings and olives or sprinkle some oregano and garlic powder if you like
  14. Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese melts
  15. You can also frill the buns by covering with a lid on the stove as well
  16. Serve hot alongside ketchup and enjoy the delicious snack
