Dragon Chicken Recipe

Treat your taste buds with this delicious saucy chinese recipe. It is much similar to chicken shashlik but has a slight change in the ingredients. Enjoy with plain boiled rice for a never ending crave!

Ingredients for Chicken:

  • Boneless chicken julienne cut 350 Gms
  • Corn flour ¼ Cup
  • Egg white 1 Pc
  • Soya Sauce 2 Tsp
  • Black Pepper Crushed ½ Tsp
  • Salt ¼ Tsp
  • Oil for frying

Ingredients for Sauce:

  • Oil 2 Tbsp
  • Red chili crushed 1½ Tsp
  • Garlic chopped 2 Tsp
  • Ginger chopped 1 Tsp
  • Tomato ketchup ½ Cup
  • Chicken stock ¼ Cup
  • Tomato paste 2 Tbsp
  • Red chili paste or pepper sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Salt ¼ Tsp
  • Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Honey 2 Tbsp
  • Green onions stalk chopped 2-3 Tbsp
  • Sesame Seeds Optional

Directions To Prepare Chicken:

  • Take a bowl and add the chicken along with flour, egg white, soy sauce, ground black pepper and salt, mix it all thoroughly and leave for marination for about half an hour
  • Then take a frying pan fry the marinated chicken in heated oil until it’s golden brown
  • Set it aside while you prepare the sauce

Directions for the Sauce:

  • Take a wok and add oil along with crushed red chili, garlic and ginger, saute them until golden brown
  • Then add tomato ketchup, tomato paste, red chili paste or pepper sauce, chicken stock, soy sauce and cook it until the sauce thickens
  • Add honey with the fried chicken and green onion stalk while mixing well
  • Garnish with the sesame seeds and serve hot along with plain boiled rice
