FireCracker Prawns Recipe

Ingredients for FireCracker Prawns:

  • Lal mirch kuti hui (Red chili flakes) 1 Tsp
  • Lemon zest ½ Tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 Tsp
  • Cheeni (Sugar) 1 Tsp
  • Hot sauce 2 Tsp
  • Til ka tail (Sesame oil) 1 Tsp
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ¼ Tsp
  • Salt (Namak) 1-2 Pinch
  • Tomato ketchup 3 Tbsp
  • Jheenge (Jumbo prawns) Tails attached, deveined & clean 500 Gms
  • Maida (Flour) 1 Tbs + Pani (Water) as required
  • Spring roll wrapper 8-10 Pcs
  • Oil for deep frying

Ingredients for Sweet chili orange sauce:

  • Lemon juice 1 Tsp
  • Cheeni (Sugar) 1 Tsp
  • Yakhni (Chicken stock) 2-3 Tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce ¼ Cup
  • Orange juice ¼ Cup

Directions:

  • Take a bowl and mix lemon zest, red chili flakes, lemon juice, hot sauce, sesame oil, black pepper powder, salt and tomato ketchup together
  • Dip the prawns in the mixture and mix well, leave for marination for 15-20 minutes
  • Meanwhile, dissolve the flour in water and set aside
  • Take a spring roll wrap and place a prawn inside while slightly folding the sheet and rolling it
  • Also apply the flour mixture once it is rolles
  • Take a wok and heat oil in it
  • Deep fry the prawns until they are done
  • Add lemon juice in a bowl for sweet chili orange sauce, then mix sugar, chicken stock, chili garlic sauce and orange juice in it
  • Once the crackers are ready, serve the with the sweet chili orange sauce
