Ingredients For Spices powder

  1. Black pepper corns ½ Tsp
  2. Cloves 4 to 5
  3. Green cardamom 3
  4. Star anise 1
  5. Fennel seeds 1 Tsp
  6. Coriander seeds 1 Tsp
  7. Cumin seeds 1 Tsp
  8. Cinnamon stick 1

Ingredients For Marinating Fish

  1. Fish ½ kg
  2. Salt 1 to 2 pinch
  3. Yogurt ½ cup
  4. Red chili powder ½ tbsp
  5. Lemon juice 1 to 2 Tbsp
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder ¼ Tsp
  8. Salt ½ tbsp
  9. Ground spices

Ingredients For Rice

  1. Water 1 liter
  2. Bay leaves 2
  3. Black cardamom 2
  4. Star anise
  5. Salt ½ tbsp
  6. Cumin seeds ½ Tsp
  7. Cinnamon stick 1
  8. Rice soaked 2 cups

Ingredients For Layering

  1. Ghee or cooking oil ½ cup
  2. Marinated fish
  3. Boiled rice
  4. Onion fried ¼ cup
  5. Green coriander 2 tbsp
  6. Mint 2 tbsp
  7. Green chili 2 to 3
  8. Milk ½ cup
  9. Nutmeg and mace powder ½ Tsp
  10. Whole spice powder ½ Tsp
  11. Food color ¼ Tsp

Directions For Fish Biryani

  1. Take a frying pan, add black peppercorns, cloves, green cardamom, fennel seeds, star anise, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and cinnamon stick, roast these ingredients until their color becomes light brown and then grind to make spice powder for fish biryani.
  2. Now, Take fish and apply salt properly. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and wash whole properly.
  3. Now take a bowl, add yogurt, red chili powder, lemon juice, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric powder and ground spices, and mix these ingredients well.
  4. Now add fish, and give it a good mix and marinate for 1 to 2 hours for good taste.
  5. Take water, add bay leaves, salt, green cardamom, star anise, cumin seeds and cinnamon stick, and bring it to boil.
  6. Now, Add rice and cook until done, strain and set aside.
  7. Now take a pot, heat ghee or cooking oil, add marinated fish and cook on a low flame for 6 to 8 minutes.
  8. When the fish is done, add boiled rice, fried onion, green coriander, mint and green chili.
  9. Now, In milk, add nutmeg and mace powder, whole spice powder and food color, and mix them well.
  10. Now, add milk mixture, cover and steam cook for 15 to 20 minutes and your fish biryani is ready to serve with raita and salad.
