Fish Tikka Recipe

  • Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 Tsp
  • Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 1 Tsp
  • Garam masala powder ½ Tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) crushed 1 Tsp
  • Namak (Salt) ½ Tsp
  • Zarday ka rang (Yellow food color) ¼ Tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 Tbsp
  • Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 Tbsp
  • Machli (Fish) boneless cubes 500 Gms
  • Lemon slices (optional)
  • Oil 2 Tbsp
  • Koyla (Charcoal) for smoke


  • Take a bowl and mix together red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin seeds, salt, yellow food colour, lemon juice and the ginger garlic paste
  • Add the boneless fish cubes in the paste and coat it well
  • Let it marinate for abt 30- 40 minutes
  • Thread the marinated fish along with lemon slices on the skewers
  • Add oil on a grill pan and fry on a low flame until the excess water stops running or until it turns golden brown
  • Switch of the flame expose the tikkas to the charcoal smoke for about 2 minutes
  • Crunchy and spicy fish tikka is ready to be devoured
  • Serve hot along with the suitable sauces and enjoy
