Fried Brain Masala Recipe

  • Goat Brains washed and boiled 4
  • Tomatoes large, chopped or grind 2 Pcs
  • Onion medium, grind it 1 Pc
  • Yogurt 4 Tbsp
  • Allspice powder 1½ Tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 Tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander powder 1 Tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1½ Tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1½ Tbsp
  • Qasuri Methi Tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves 4 Tbsp
  • Ginger, cut into thin sticks 2 Tbsp
  • Green chilies 2-3 Pcs
  • Butter or Oil ½ Cup


  • Take a pot and pour 3 glasses of water in in
  • Add the brains along with salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste and cook for 10 minutes to remove the smell from brains
  • Take the brains out and remove the veins and skin then set it aside
  • Take a pan and fry the ginger-garlic paste for few seconds while stirring
  • Then add the onion with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and fry until the nice golden color starts to appear
  • Next, add the tomato paste and fry them well along with red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and allspice powder
  • Lastly, add the yogurt and mix well while frying it until the oil separates
  • Add the brain to the fried masala without mashing it
  • Add the methi and fry on high flame until oil separates
  • Garnish with coriander, finely chopped ginger and green chilies
  • Serve hot along with naan
