Handi Kebabs Recipe

  • Beef fillets/ pasande or Mince 1kg
  • Onion 3 medium
  • Ginger 1 inch piece
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Papaya paste ½ cup
  • Whole coriander 4 Tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 2 Tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 10 nos
  • Cumin seeds 1 ½ Tsp
  • Whole red chilli 8-10
  • Clove /laung 6 nos
  • Cinnamon stick 1 nos
  • Whole black pepper 10-15
  • Cardamom small 2

Directions for Handi Kebabs

  • Marinate the meat fillets in all the ingredients including the papaya paste and other finely ground spices
  • Saute the onions in oil and set them aside
  • Use the same oil to fry the ginger garlic and after taking them out grind them
  • Grind the fried ginger garlic with the brown onion and and them all to the meat
  • Marinate the meat for 6-7 hours so that it gets rich and juicier in taste
  • Transfer the meat in the same oil along with the ginger garlic and all spices and cook until the meat becomes tender
  • You can also smoke the dish with some charcoal for a restaurant flavour
  • However, Smoke the kebabs if you are cooking on the stove
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and chopped green chillies
  • Serve alongside hot naans and enjoy the delicacy
