Ingredients for Kadhi Chaat Recipe

Preparing Kadhi:

  • Gram flour 1 Cup
  • Water 2 Cups
  • Whisked Yogurt 2 Cups
  • Garlic Ginger Paste 1 Tsp
  • Salt 1 Tsp
  • Crushed and Roasted Coriander seeds 1½ Tsp
  • Red Chili powder 1½ Tsp
  • Crushed and Roasted Cumin Seeds ½ Tsp
  • Turmeric Powder ½ Tsp
  • Water 3 Cups

Tadka for Curry:

  • Oil ½ Cup
  • Sliced Onion 1 Small Sized
  • Sliced Garlic Cloves 3
  • Whole Red Chilies 4-5
  • Cumin Seeds ½ Tsp
  • Curry Leaves 7-8
  • Sour and Sweet Sauce
  • Water 2 Cups
  • Tamarind ½ Cup
  • Jaggery ½ Cup
  • Crushed Black Pepper ½ Tsp
  • Salt ¼ Tsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  • Crushed Cumin Seeds ½ Tsp
  • Crushed Fennel Seeds ½ Tsp
  • Sugar 3-4 Tsp
  • Black Salt 1 Tsp
  • Cinnamon Stick 1
  • Cloves 2
  • Grated Ginger ½ Inch

Ingredients for Assembling Kadhi:

  • Boiled chickpeas
  • Boiled and Cubes Potatoes
  • Chaat masala
  • Kadhi
  • Sweet and Sour Sauce
  • Sliced Onions
  • Lemon Juice
  • Chopped Fresh Coriander
  • Chopped Green Chilies
  • Nimko Mixed

Directions for Kadhi Chaat Recipe

Preparing the Kadhi:

  • Add the gram flour in a wok and roast it until sweet-scented
  • Now, gently add water and mix it with flour until flour gets smooth
  • Use whisk yogurt and add it
  • Now, add salt, red chili powder, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, coriander seeds, turmeric powder and mix it well
  • Then, add water to it and mix well and keep stirring and bring it to boil
  • Now, cover the mixture and cook it 40-50 minutes on low flame and keep stirring the mixture

Preparing for the Tadka:

  • In wok, add onion and oil and mix it well
  • Now, put garlic in it and keep frying until its color gets golden
  • Then, put curry leaves, whole red chili and cumin seeds and mix it well and keep frying until its color get golden
  • Now, Tadka is ready and it’s time to mix the kadhi and tadka together

Preparing the Sweet and Sour Sauce:

  • In a wok, put sauce and add, fennel seeds, jaggery, water, crushed black pepper, tamarind, sugar, red chili powder, salt, cumin seeds, black salt, cinnamon stick and cloves mix together well cook it for 20-25 minutes and keep stirring in between
  • Now, put ginger and boil it at low temperature for 2-3 minutes. After that, filter it leaves to get cool.
  • In refrigerator you can store it for 1-2 months

For serving purpose you can use all these in serving plate (chickpeas, potatoes, chaat masala, kadhi, sweet and sour sauce, onion, lemon juice, fresh coriander, green chilies, chaat masala, mix nimko & serve.
