Ingredients for Laddu

  • Gram lentil 250 gms
  • Ajwain 1/4 Tsp
  • Cumin seeds ½ Tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking powder ½ Tsp

Ingredients for Imli Sauce

  • Dry dates (choare) 6 nos
  • Tamarind pulp/ imli pulp 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds ½ Tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Vinegar 1 Tbsp
  • Jaggery/ gur ½ cup

Ingredients for Apricot Sauce

  • Dry Apricot 125 gms
  • Water 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder ½ Tsp
  • Cumin seeds ½ Tsp
  • Sugar ½ cup

Laddu Pethi Recipe-1

Directions for Laddu Pethi

  • Wash and soak the gram lentil overnight
  • Next day, add the salt, cumin seeds, ajwain and baking powder in the lentil and blend it very finely
  • Form laddu out of the blended mixture and fry them
  • Soak the laddu in water for about three seconds and squeeze out the water carefully
  • Meanwhile, for imli sauce take the overnight soaked date water and grind it after removing seeds along with other ingredients to form a thick sauce
  • For apricot sauce, cook all the ingredients in water until they are soft and smooth and then grind them after removing the seeds
  • Cut the radish, carrot or cabbage very finely
  • Serve the laddus alongside the sauces, radish and onion slices
  • Enjoy after sprinkling some chaat masala
