Ingredients:

  • 500g Seeraga Samba rice
  • 750g chicken/mutton
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 large onions (fried)
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Whole spices (cardamom, cloves, cinnamon)
  • Fresh coriander and mint leaves

How to Make:

  1. Cook the Meat: Heat oil, fry onions, and add ginger-garlic paste. Add marinated meat and cook with chili powder and coriander powder until tender.
  2. Cook the Rice: Parboil the Seeraga Samba rice with whole spices.
  3. Layering: Layer the meat and rice with fried onions and fresh herbs.
  4. Final Dum: Seal the pot and cook on low heat for 25 minutes.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fried onions and mint, and serve with raita.
